SR5009 or SR6008?

SR5009

SR6008

Both are $500 shipped with 3 year warranties.

Major differences:
SR5009 (2014 model - MSRP $900) has Wifi and Bluetooth
SR6008 (2013 model - MSRP $1200) has dual video out for a complete Zone 2 AV setup

I can run CAT6 from my router and prefer the hardwire connection over wifi anyhow. I will probably use my Samsung H5900 Bluray player for internet radio playback anyhow so internet connection to the AVR isn't priority whether wireless or not. I don't think I'll use the Bluetooth feature. Zone 2 AV would be amazing since I have a game room which is the next room over from my dedicated HT. According to Marantz Zone 2 would have access to any source that Zone 1 isn't currently using for both audio and video. The AV closet where the AVR resides is between the two rooms.

But the SR5009 is the one the Marantz rep recommended during an online chat session due to it being the newer model...

Both use the same version of Audyssey MultEQ XT. Select the SR6008 if you want the additional features. Note however, these are "refurbs" which only come with a 1 year warranty unless an extended warranty is also purchased.

Yeah I think it comes down to what I want. Wifi and BT or a Zone 2 with both audio and video... All else being equal.
Tough decision since my game room isn't done yet and might not be for a while. Wifi and BT are nice features to have if I decide I need them... Argh, what to do, what to do...

Similar thread from last month.

Marantz SR5008, 5009, 6008, or 6009?

Thanks for the link Gene!

I've decided on the 6008 due to the Zone 2 having both audio and video from any source (unused by Zone 1). And I don't need the wifi and BT that the 5009 offers.
