Unhappy Yamaha RX-V590 receiver only one channel works

Hi everyone,

New to this and I'm in desperate need of figuring out what's wrong with my amp so any help is appreciated

Now i've recently bought this Yamaha receiver and it has this Pro Logic sound processor. All seemed to be well until I started playing around with different modes. When I first fired it up it sounded perfectly fine then I switched off the Pro Logic function, the right channel turns silent. It seems like both speakers work apart from the basic mode in Pro Logic and with the processor completely off. If i turn balance all the way to the right and max out the volume I can hear something at minimal volume.

Have tried using different inputs and outputs. Different Cables. Different speakers etc. Would love to make this work again so I'm not stuck with the sound processor being turned on the whole time. Does anyone know what's wrong with it and maybe whether it's worthwhile fixing it (I got the amp for very cheap)?

Thanks heaps in advance!!

Look in the Owner's manual for a microprocessor/factory reset procedure. Otherwise, sounds like a defective amp.
