Need your advice - Anthem MRX310/510 or Marantz SR6009

I'm building a new system that I plan to use equally for music and for movies. I just picked up a set of Epos Epic 5 Towers yesterday and I am looking to now add a receiver to the mix (still thinking about an amp/pre-amp setup too but maybe a receiver is better for me?). With my space, I intend to run a 3.1 system. I just want great sound quality and don't care much for 4K technology at the moment. I would like to eventually add a turntable and cd player to the system soon though.

I'm trying to decide between the Anthem MRX 310 or 510 or the Marantz SR6009. What would you recommend? Or would you recommend me go the amplifier/pre-amp route altogether?

Sorry for all the newbie questions. Appreciate the feedback!

Sound quality Anthem, features Marantz. Whichever is most important to you. If you need 5 channels or less the MRX-310 will be fine. If you like playing loud above moderate levels an amp is beneficial, you could add an amp to either of those models if needed.

The Denon X4100W with Audyssey MultEQ XT32 will provide better audio quality over just the XT version in the SR6009. ARC compared to XT32 will be comparable with some preferring one over the other as they use different technology. Select the model that offers the features/inputs/outputs you want and is within your budget.

I ended up ordering the Anthem MRX 510. I'll give it a try over these next 30 days and see how it sounds. My priority is sound quality. I think they all have the basic features that I want.

If this fails, I might just end up purchasing the Parasound A23 amp and Parasound P3 pre-amp instead. If any of you have thoughts on how good this combo is, please do let me know

The Parasound is very nice but only 2.1 and all your sources need to have analog outputs. If you are going to do 2.1 instead of 3.1 it is certainly a nice option. It would probably depend on how good Anthem's ARC room correction does in your room

If sound quality is your priority then you won't be disappointed . I had a Pioneer Elite receiver before with all the bells and whistle and when I decided to change me too my priority was sound quality over the bells and whistle.
I did a lot of research and ended up buying the MRX510. I am very satisfied with it and ARC2 is far superior to the MCACC of Pioneer. My speakers never sounded better!!
