Denon AVR-790 suddenly HDMI video/audio not passing through

My denon avr-790 was working fine.. now suddenly i cant seem to get any video or audio to pass through on any of the hdmi inputs..

i've pretty much verified the issue is with the receiver..

Is it safe to assume something internally is dead with the hdmi processing unit perhaps?

Thanks in advance

Try powering off and unplugging the AVR for 10 minutes. Do the same with all HDMI sources. Try replacing the HDMI cable going from the AVR ---> TV. If still no joy, reset the microprocessor a few times (p.64 Owner's manual).

I did that.. tried different cables.. different sources.. even different output screens.. all with the same results.. then i tried the reset by holding the power button and the surround left arrow/right arrow.. i did this several times.. still a no go.. i'm assuming the hdmi microprocessor is broken.. not sure if that component alone is easy or worth changing.. i was going to go with a $100 used solution on the whole receiver.
