I have a problem with the following setup. I have a tv connected to monitor 1 with the audio coming from the receiver. I have connected the bedroom television to monitor 2 but i cannot get audio. I can solve it if i set the audio for everything to TV but than i cannot get the audio in the living room thru my receiver. So i have to swith overtime i want to use my television in the bedroom. Does anybody has a solution for this ?
Yes. There are 3 HDMI monitor outputs on the SR7009. The Monitor 2 output simply mirrors the Monitor 1 output. You have the choice of passing the audio to the "TV" or the "AVR" but cannot choose TV for one and AVR for the other. Rather, you will want to use the Zone 2 monitor output connected to the bedroom TV with the HDMI Audio (Zone 2) setting at the factory default of "Through."
Now I'm confused. Playback note on page 172 of manual says multichannel audio hdmi to zone2 requires pcm instead of through? Only 2 channel on through?
No I got it. Yes I thought he was on zone2 out not main zone mirrored.
I wonder why receivers don't offer an avr/tv/both audio out option?
