Way around cdmi 2.0a receiver?

I currently have a pioneer VSX-90. It has hdmi 2.0 18gbps and hdcp 2.2; however, it doesn't look like even models this updated will be getting a hdmi 2.0a update (LG recently announced it's flagship OLED with similar hdmi specs would not). Anyhow, this is my second attempt to get 4K, HDR ready with a receiver. I bought an Onkyo 737 last year with it's dishonest hdmi 2.0 advertisement. I ended up selling that receiver and getting the VSX-90 thinking I would be up to date for years to come. Literally a month later, I see the new hdmi 2.0a release. Well, I like my current receiver aside from this hdmi issue, and frankly, I just can't afford another receiver in three years time. So, my question is, if I want to watch 4K blurays with HDR on a future compatible TV that I purchase, how can I do that without having to get ANOTHER receiver? What are some workarounds? I obviously want my bluray's audio to be sent to my receiver somehow. So, Hdmi Switch? Splitter? ARC? Dual output bluray player? Are any of these going to happen?

What you want is a player with two hdmi outputs. Chasing features can be a frustrating experience. I don't recommend it. Personally I don't change equipment until it breaks.

According to Pioneer, as is the case with other brands, the VSX-90 will receive a firmware update to HDMI 2.0a later this fall.

Think your AVR is defective? Check the Owner's manual and do a factory reset 4-5 times if necessary.

Have you seen official word on this? Or is it just speculation at this point?

I don't see why that wouldn't be possible since the 2015 pioneer receivers have hdcp 2.2 and 18 gbps bandwidth. However, the newer lg 4k oled tvs have both of these features as well, but they are saying there will be no firmware update for hdmi 2.0a. So, I'm assuming it's not possible. It's mentioned in this cnet review of the TV.
