Amp for revel f12

I just ordered a pair of revel f12s. I'm looking for a good match and don't want to overspend-hopefully under $1000. I will be watching films in addition to music so the amp must be integrated with a DAC built in or part of a combo with a pre amp.

So far the best I've found is the nad c 356dac. Im also considering the crown blowouts with a pre amp such as the marantz nr1506. Also considering the denon 4520ci new at accessories4less.

Most of my browsing has been done on crutchfield, audio advisor, music direct, and musicians friend.

Do I need to be concerned about class d, ei, or toroidal transformers?

The room is 18x18 open concept basement. So really 50x18.

You'll want a 4 ohm capable amp, most likely

I'm fond of having more power than necessary, and you have a big room, so, I'd lean toward the Crown based on the $/Watt.

A preamp might not be absolutely necessary with the Crown, if you have another way to switch analog inputs to it.

Start there, add a DAC later.

I'll be back later...
