Greetings-
I purchased a Kenwood VR-5090 package deal at a garage sale. I resell stereo equipment on ebay. I have been testing the receiver and having issues:
- Phone input (or radio) - low sound cranked all the way up.
- Its not the speakers or speaker wire - I am not even sure if the receiver is seeing front speakers as an option it doesn't when going to speaker level volumes. It's like it only sees center / surroung / rear surround and sub
- Same results with both A or B speaker channels
- Am I missing something?! I am at a loss - most receivers I buy I typically don't need the manual to do test its features and its on its way to a happy home.
- Tested cd player (2 different ones) with 2 different optical cables in both DVD and CD optical inputs - I get no sound at all.
- Receiver is set to digital - nothing...
Is this thing shot or is there a 'reset' option back to factory settings?
Any input would be great otherwise it will be an as is deal and count my losses.
Thanks!
Erik
