Not sure.....I have an older T777 and was interested in upgrading with the new modules for 4K and Atmos. I believe the 4K module is available but not the Atmos module and I think that is the holdup with the release of the V3. You may want to inquire about room correction though as the brochure on the NAD website implies that Audessey won't be included though there isi some speculation about Dirac. I will likely not upgrade though as I can't justify the cost with the limitations of the new modules.

I've heard of Dirac being possible too. And the Atmos/Blu Sound is pretty big deal.

Last time my friend checked with his NAD guy they said it was going into production. That was mid February through early March. I only know what he told me. Then at the same phone call he was told he'd have it by end of April. Hmm. So I just was curious if anyone knows anything. I'm so stoked.

Also my friend said they told him the hold up was the online update firmware feature. They want to get it right I guess or something.

I'm just so looking forward to this unit. ))) I've always wanted a good NAD but they were low on features till now.

There is still some uncertainty over Dirac being available in the T777. Originally, the AM250 was due out to the T777/T787 and the AM17 for the M15HD and M17 preamps. Now, the T758 is already out with the AM230, which affords Atmos but does NOT have Dirac. I asked NAD about this and asked if there would still be an AM250 for the higher level receivers and they said no. The AM17 would cover the preamp models in the master series but they had not finished resolving what platform would be used for the higher level receivers. Remains to be seen if and when Dirac comes to any of these models.

BluOS and Dirac are the reasons I've been waiting for this one. Without Dirac, I'll probably choose the T758 v3 for half the price for now and upgrade to the T777 later if/when the Dirac-capable module is released.

I can't believe it is taking them this long. It was supposed to be out last year and it is still not out. I was told that the hardware will support the T775 as well but they will need to update the software on the T775HD to take advantage of the new hardware. This is crucial for the whole concept of MDC. What is the point of the MDC concept if only the new receivers are compatible. For now, I am ok with 7.1 and Dolby MultEq/XT on my T775HD.

I like nad amps but for my space room correction really doesnt do squat. all about source material and speakers imo.

edit to add I only run 5.1 so maybe with atmos its important.

Sadly the T 777 v3 STILL!!!!!!!!!!!!! comes with Audysse MultEQ XT which is insane considering it does not do Atmos yet the receiver is Atmos.

Actually if you look at the brochure on the NAD site for the AM230 (Atmos module for T777) not even sure if it has Audessey - only reference is auto speaker setup!

What I said is from Crutchfield. They have it for pre order now. But the price is wrong so maybe the info is too. And their info says HDMI 2.0a. Sheesh. How in the world can they have wrong info? Wow. Nad site says it's 2.0b for the VM300.

Well I've given up on the 777 v3. No telling when it'll be here.

I've gone with the NAD T-187 processor with all the free upgrades. And the NAD T-977 7 channel amp. Have amp. Processor should be here next Monday or Tuesday.

I got Transparent rca cables for the amp.

That should sound great. What are the upgrades for the processor? I thought it was the same MDC modules for 4K and Atmos as the T777?

It is the same I guess.
I'm just so disappointed about the constant delay after delay for the T777 v3. It's got everything I want. Price was not bad. But with this last delay I figured there's no telling when it'll see the light of day. Especially since it was supposed to come out last year. I don't want to wait anymore for who knows how long. So that's why I went with the amp and processor. So I'm so disappointed in the delays but then because of it I am now getting separates. And sadly for so much more money. Ugh!

Does the official announcement that NAD is partnering with Dirac mean the T777 v3 will be released soon? Hope so.
