4k HDMI through Denon AVR-988

Hi!
I just changed my TV for a 4K 65" and my PS4 for a Pro. Currently, all my HDMI goes through an HDMI switch and to my Denon AVR-988 Amplifier, then to the TV.
Since the Amplifier is 9 years old and was made before 4K, do you think I have some loss? Will 4K pass through it ? My old TV had only one HDMI port, but the new one has 3. But I would have to buy some longer HDMI cables and a long digital cable to bring back the audio to the amplifier. I like the current wiring like it is, but I'm afraid I lose some 4K data through the switch or the Amplifier.
Thanks for your advice!

4K will not pass thru your Denon 988. Do you actually have any 4K sources? What devices do you currently have?>

Great! Thanks!!
The PS4 Pro is the only one for now (not real 4K I think) but might sometimes try to plug my MacBook Pro 2017 wich should be able to output 4K.
