Sorry, I wasn't aware that some have had success running 3D thru their non-3D receivers - I just know our 82's aren't 3D ready. I've never tried it so I'll have to defer to someone who has.

I don't know about that. I have a VSX-94, not 3D ready, and it passes 3D just fine.

Well I am running it as passthrough and I don't even have the best HDMI and it seems to be working fine. However, this is LG's 2D to 3D conversion which may be less to handle.

Can someone chime in on how to optimize the setup for LFE and R/L stereo full range when using large towers and R/L out to sub? Also, what setting to use analog in from analog out from BDP?

I was searching the threads for the Pioneer Elite VSX-90TXV and couldn't find very much info but have a basic question if anyone can help here...???

I just received 2 MartinLogan Dynamo 300 budget subs for xmas to replace my 10yr old 12" Energy (EPS-12) Sub that I loved and paid about $600 for but now that has some unknown issues with static while adjusting controls .......

My question is with my older 7.1 Pioneer Elite VSX 90TXV... would I be able to run both these 8" subs in mono from the 1 sub output on the receiver? Is it plausible or should I just ebay the pioneer Elite which I really have enjoyed... and look for a cheap 7.2 AVR?

Any input or helpful knowledge is appreciated.

Happy Holidays

And just out of curiosity... would anyone return a pair of the 8" martinlogan dynamo 300 and pay the extra $60 for the pair of Velodyne VX-11, 10 Inch Subwoofer (Special 2 for $229) if I did upgrade to a new 7.2 avr... I know it's a thing of personal preference, just looking for logical opinions . My system is used primarily for home theater applications or use....... Thank You

Zennn:

I've taken a cheap RCA splitter (two female and one male), plugged it into the Sub out and then ran cables to each of the subs I was using. Not only did it work great, it was less filling, too.

Since the subs are active or powered subs, splitting the sub output is completely invisible to the receiver.

Now, if you fancy yourself a golden ear, you may notice a tiny amount of sonic degradation, but this is extremely unlikely given that you're talking about frequencies in most cases below 80 Hz (or, in my case, since I cross over at 50 Hz, below 50 Hz)..

Should work just fine.

I have an issue that's just popped up recently. When I watch a Dolby 5.1 surround movie through Netflix, DVD, Amazon, etc., I get this issue of the sound cutting in and out when there's a loud sound in the movie like an explosion or low-bass rumbling sound. It does not happen at any other time through the movie.

I've checked all the cables several times and have not found any issues.

Any ideas?

How high is the volume turned up to? Might it be clipping?

Not too high, around 48. It certainly sounds like clipping (cutting in and out).
