I have 6 ohms speakers, and i really like the sound of my uncles Harman Kardon AVR 235, though I was reading about it and the receiver drives 8 ohms speakers.

Can the HK receiver handle my 6 ohms speakers? What can I do to make it work? thank you for your time.

yeah, they can drive 6ohm speakers pretty easily. What speakers are you talking about?

Hi, thanks for the response I have Wharfedale Diamond 9.1's and 9.CS center. So my speakers are no problem for the HK 235? not even any overheating?? thanks again in advance.

Would it be a good idea to buy a low end Harman Kardon just for the decoding and use its pre outs with an amplifier? I think my wharfedales will sound great with a Harman Kardon. Would that work? Thanks.
