I appreciate the nice feedback... but please if anyone is looking to buy please buy from your local dealer Simaudio rules, keeps our Sim resale value for the customer high and the end value good and steady

As a side note...
We are going to be having Costa visit the TN store in May as well as Mick from Dynaudio so everyone in the Middle Tennessee area is invited in to meet them for some special deals and other things

Does anyone know whether Sim plans to reintroduce an FM tuner? I know they had a relationship with Magnum Dynalab for a while, and were modifying those tuners, but it seems like they haven't sold one for a while.

**I asked about the radio too... all i can say is... some amazing things will be happening in the next 6-12 months including Sim going Blu

Probably will be incredible but out of my league. I wonder how long it will be until there will be a Moon Classic (or whatever it might be called) version under $9k?

Out of most people's league. For me, $10,000 is the top end, for amplifier, pre-amp, you name it.

So Brad, should I wait for a Sim tuner or am I looking at Magnum Dynalab?

The W-8 goes for $13,500 USD while the W-7Ms go for $10,000 USD each.

Anything else you wanna know ask

Well, gotta say that MSRP might be the ticket for some, but I have heard/read exceptional things about the SimAudio Attraction 5.1, which may be all many of us require for now, and retailed for just over one third of that not THAT long ago. I wonder if anyone here has had experience with this unit, the 5.1? I've read in this forum that the amps are hard to find used...but my experience informs that the SimAudio processors are an even much more rare find, so just casting out this general inquiry, seeking whatever info anyone may be able to provide.
Thanks!

I note the new SimAudio pre/pro switches HDMI but does no processing (does it even transcode?) which the new Classe SSP-800 will have along with the new HD codecs. Of course if you can afford either of these you can afford a good video processor, but then what is the point of HDMI switching?

An unasked question has to be why these high end processors have taken such a quantum leap in price, compared to previous models? I think it has more to do with current economics than the cost to manufacture. While most consumers are struggling to pay for mortgages and gas, let alone food, the rich are richer than ever. It looks to me as if Classe and SimAudio have deliberately overpriced their products to specifically appeal to the ultra rich because those folks really don't give a fig as to prices, and actually desire things more the more they cost. So why market to the average or upper middle class consumer, who is counting his money, when there is all that rich clientel happy to throw money around like peanuts. Call me cynical, but that is the only logical conclusion I can reach considering what companies like Emotiva have produced at a less than a tenth the price.

"The truth is out there!"

Hi all,

Been following this thread with quite some interest and any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I'm looking at purchasing a Sim Audio Moon Titan 7 channel amplifier in Australia to compliment my Klipsch RF-83 mains, RC-64 center and four RS-62 surrounds. Does anyone have any experience in doing this and if they match well? I'm using a Denon AVR-4308 that I intend to use as a preamp, everything is exclusively cabled using Kordz Master and Vortex series cables.

Also is there any ideas if the Titan is going to be replaced by a new model or this is the best of breed I can get for that price range at this stage (AU$17,500 but from Singapore imported here is about $AU12,000).

Many thanks, Richard.

UPDATE - Well couldn't wait any longer for a reply so I've just gone and ordered it, I'm sure I won't be disappointed in my decision to match the Titan with the Klipsch's.
