I have a cousin that has a GFA 5400.

I don't know much about it all all, as I'm not familiar with Adcom.

She told me she had a stereo amp that she wanted me to sell, I assumed she meant a car amp.

All I know is that its a stereo amp that is 125w per channel at 8 ohms.

Like I said, I know receivers but not amps so much...

Any info on this company/model would be great. I don't want to try to sell something that is crap. I also don't want to sell it for next to nothing if its something worth hanging on to.

If I decided to buy it off of her, what should I expect?
If I decide to sell it for her, whats a ball park figure I should try to get for her?

Thanks in advance guys...

The Adcom is a nice little 2-channel amp. The GFA-5400 is 125watts x 2, and had a US$ retail of $750. Still a nice little product and as far as I know still available from Adcom.

Adcom amps are well-built and last a long time. Sonically they are quite nice, if not quite as refined as more contemporary offerings (the GFA-5400 has been around for a long time).

Hope that helps,

Jeff.
