I currently own the older set of Atlantic Technology 450 THX-rated speakers and am about to make the move from a receiver to separates. I was wondering if the power rating on the speakers - 10 to 200 watts - means that I should not be looking at any amplifier with more than 200 watts per channel of power (assuming, of course, that I don't decide more power is better and move to a different set of speakers http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif )

Also, I was hoping that someone could let me know how loud 200 watts gets. I am assuming pretty damn loud since I've pumped up my 105 wpc B&K receiver to some pretty deafening levels without hearing clipping.

Thanks in advance.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
