Taxman doesn't have an Onkyo 805 receiver. He has a Pioneer.

Yes I know that but isn't it a 1.3a receiver? Maybe that receiver passes through the 3d video signal. I was hoping the onkyo 805 did the same when the hdmi was split.

OK I believe my display went bad. Nothing is lit up now. Only the knob with blue light lights up now. Is this a resistor issue?

Can I use a 10 ohm 10 watt resistors instead of the recommended 1 watt? Just in case I can't easily find a 1 watt.

OK I swapped out resistors with 10 ohm 1 watt resistors. It works.

Here goes the culprit.

After almost eight years of use, I hope my 805 keeps working that screen until it is dead completely. I dont have any intention to replace that tiny part.

Actually it's pretty simple to change. If you have electronics experience it's a since.

After 8 years of service, my 805 lost the right channel (power amp issue) and has been put to rest. My hdmi board never went bad and I fixed my burned out display by replacing some resistors. I disassembled the receiver and it has one very heavy transformer. Any suggestions on receivers than can power five 4 ohm speakers? I run a quintet of Polk LSI9 speakers.

Samsung PN64F8500: Oppo 105D; Onkyo TX-SR805; Polk LSI x 5; SVS SB-13 Ultra; Kimber Kable 12TC Speaker Cable; Monnster Cable Speaker Cable; Shunyata Research Aries interconnects; Monster Cable 700 , 1000 HDX, and M Series HDMI Cables; John 3:16;

If you can find an older Yamaha RX-Z11 AV receiver, or the RX-Z9*, ...those two would do.

* With the Z9 do the DTS-HD MA and Dolby TrueHD audio decoding inside your Blu-ray player, and send the signal as uncompressed multichannel PCM, voila.

I have a good display board and remote control if anybody is interested. I also have the printed manual. Let me know if you are interested in any of these items before the trash man comes.

I would take the display board as mine just went and I haven't decided if I'm up for soldering. You can email me direct at forsale at Mixedelement dot com and thanks in advance!

How much for the remote? Mine came busted, so I never had one.
