One HDMI out at a time. No AVR can output two HDMI signals simultaneously.

rear panel printed 'assignable'. does it mean HDMI 1 out from source A and HDMI 2 out from source B, if above 2 out work?
what do you mean no bass in calibration? 905 has Audyssey XT, do I need to spend extra $ for official Audyssey soundEQ?
Audyssey soundEQ

FYI, my current NR900 remote has all buttons lit too.
maybe the HDMI layout designer comes from Arabian with backward custom...
at least component can see OSD. this is NG on NR900. inconvenience!!!
wow, Hawaii! mom says it's the most beautiful place of USA!

hey ya'll, does anyone know if the 905 can do 5.1 with the mains bi-amped?

also if it does, can it be hooked up with the 5.1, mains bi amped, and a second zone stereo and play 2.1 with the mains that are bi-amped and play the zone 2 at the same time?

this is how i have my current AVR. i can choose zone A and do 5.1, or zone A and do 2.1, or zone B and do 2.0 on the deck or zone A&B and do 2.1 in the house and 2.0 on the deck at the same time.
i really need to know if i can do this with the 905.

You can bi-amp the main speakers, but you are out of luck on the others. Page 121 of the manual states that "Powered Zone 2 CANNOT be used if speaker type front A is set to bi-amp or BTL, or if speaker type front B is set to normal, bi-amp or BTL."

If it's not a BIG screen, it's not a theater...

I was actually giving JC2P a hard time, not you. Glad to hear you have one coming. I lucked out and was 2nd in line w/ the 875 but the 905 is being a little more evasive.

Actually, I dunno why I was censored, but One Call is what I typed (without a space, so "*******"). Either way, I actually got the last (or near to last) one myself. Next day delivery, so Tuesday.

I can't wait. Now I'm ready for whenever I wanna upgrade my Pro-910HD to a 1080p model (which, with the KURO models, might be sooner than later).

When you run out of Zed 71's to sell, I'm sure that with the money we save buying south of the border, a few of us will still settle for any Z's you may have kickin' around.

I'm jealous of the the one call people, not as much because they are getting theirs first but that they make so much money that $500 doesn't even phase them.

Robert - I hope what you say is true but they were telling me that they HOPE it would ship by the END of August.

Actually 500 would not hurt me but it is more of the principal of the matter. When a store takes care of me and pricematches they get a loyal customer. When they refuse and act like arrogant jerks it makes customers not go to them. Suddenly one call becomes your fourth or fifth call. The next time you need something inexpensive or expensive remember how they treated you and take your business elsewhere!

I was following the Denon 4308 threads and all of those folks are happily paying 2500 for them, which is the MSRP.

I absolutely agree. Since 1call price-matched J&R's 875 & 905 price for me and were very helpful with my order (I finally ended up with the 805 at $800 from them), I would still look to them first (I even suggested them for others on the anticipation thread...some of them got the price match, too, before 1call stopped matching). If 1call wouldn't price match, and if I were buying the HD-XA2, VE's where I'd go... if I were buying the 905, ABT's got my business.
What I cannot understand is any blind loyalty to a merchant. They are out to make a profit (that's why they're in business), and I am out to get the best price I can. If I can get really great service (accommodating to my needs for timing and/or CS policies like Amazon is with returns) that's worth a few bucks to me... I can't say what the $ number is, but $500 is above it

If more of us valued food and cheer above hoarded gold, it would be a much merrier world.

That pre-order price is great. I really wanted to wait for Christmas. Do you think that price will hold or go back to MSRP in the next few months?

can't believe if this is true! how come those folks didn't ask for discount? does 4308 offer some amazing/irreplaceable features over other brands for buyers to pay MSRP???

If you google the denon you find many places selling it for 1999.99. I bet the price of the onkyo will be stable even into Christmas season... I would not worry about that...

Just verifying........... No color level or tint as part of the VP menu, or elsewhere?
At least nothing in the manual that I found.
