I also have a PS3.. Also have an XA2, which are both 1.3. Also, I do not have a 1.3 receiver. I am just curious why some feel it is important to have a 1.3 receiver. Don't current blu-ray and HD DVD players only do onboard decoding and transfer via PCM, regardless if your receiver is 1.3? Also, if the players allowed to send bitstream to 1.3 receivers, wouldn't the sound be exactly the same as PCM via 1.1? Also, in regards to the # of HDMI inputs, you can purchase a 5x1 HDMI switcher for around $75, so while on board HDMI inputs are convenient, I wouldn't necessarily have this be the purchasing factor, as excellent sound quality should be far important, which is exactly what the Marantz gives.
