ATI 1807- 180 Watts @ 7 Channels: Great warranty terms and manufactures internals for many different Amplifier companies.
Parasound HCA-2205A- 220 Watts @ 5 Channels: The name speaks for itself. Tends to runs hot
Rotel RMB1095- 200 Watts @ 5 Channels: Alot of power, 2 power supplies, name has been around a long time.

Have heard great things about all three of these amps. They all are within my price range but I am pretty far away from each of these dealers. Hence one of the #1 forums in A/V. To those who vote Thank You!!!

I've had a couple of ATI amps for some years now - the AT1504 which powers my fronts in bridged mode (450W to each channel) and the AT1505 which powers my center, surrounds and rears. They provide clean power at all times and impart no colorations at all.

I bought both used (quite cheap but under warranty) and the *only* problem I had was that the led on the power switch on one of them did not work properly (was flickering) when I received the unit. A call to ATI and they offered me 2 choices:
  1. I ship it to them or
  2. they send me a replacement switch with clear instructions.
I chose the second and they sent me the switch, the allen key needed and clear instructions. So I got to open the unit ... it's built like a tank!

I love them!

The ATI 1807 RCA input sensitivity is 1.6v. Does it mean it will not be suitable for consumer gear due to gain mismatch?
