Typically, for analog or PCM signals, -30 to -20dB is plenty. However, for DD, you need to be at -5dB to +5dB, depending on the efficiency of speakers and distance from them.
At 0 dB, the receiver is utterly loafing and would be lucky to be putting out peak power much over 1 watt.
Does your TV accept 1080p? What firmware do you have (press both source buttons at the same time). Does the X-box actually put out 1080p?
