So I have a 9 year old Only TX-SV343, basic receiver with Dolby Pro Logic. I have always used it with a pair of loudspeakers and had not need for a powered sub. Due to a new living room I have sold the old loudspeakers and am purchasing a pair of bookshelf speakers and will be adding a powered sub shortly to fill in the base.

Now to my question I have studied by owners manual and cannot find any info on how it handles the cross over frequency. I will be using a subwoofer preamp output for powered subwoofers. My subwoofer will have a adjustible cross frequency. Do I just tune the sub cross over frequency to taste or would the amp have a built in frequency that would turn on when the sub is plugged in.
