The Ref.70 and AVR707 will be released in Feb. Price on Ref. 70 is $3k; AVR707 is $4k. Upconvert/Scale (Reon or Realta). 6 HDMI 1.3 in/1 out. Will be released w/out Dolby TrueHD or DTS-MA decoding. Upgrade in May for free or minimal cost.
Ethernet port for upgrades.

I am very interested in this product. Sounds like a different approach B&K is taking if what I have read is true. Which is about how it is going to handle analog audio signals and digital inputs. I am anxious to learn more about this product.

I was thinking that 6 HDMI inputs is a lot, but the way things are going it might not be enough.

Keep us posted. I am sure there will be more info coming during CES.

With most source players being more or less "universal" these days, I'll bet 6 HDMI inputs is overkill. Nobody has that many digital sources. It's nice to have the capacity though, just in case.

This should be a great product. It has my attention.

Don't know about the upgrade.

B&K has always been big on multiple inputs. For example, the new units have 10 component inputs, and each video input will have its own dedicated coax and toslink input (no more assigning).

Seems like I could have quite a few HDMI inputs:

Cable box
HD DVD player
Blu Ray player
SACD and DVD-A player (although for me this is analog)
Tivo
Some sort of video game

So I could see them adding up.
