Main limiting factor: satellites with a W x D footprint of 5"x5" or less (height does not matter). Music/Movies = 50/50. Living room = 15x12x9. Looking for a 5.1 system plus receiver for about $800.

Pioneer VSX-1021 - $350
BIC F-12 - $188
Energy Micro 5.0 - $160 (this deal ends today!)
Total $688

Pioneer VSX-1021 - $350
Def Tech ProCinema600 - $450
Total $800

It seems the PC600 series would give me much better all around sound, but at a price that would not let me get a better sub at this time. I am ok with this but the price range is also higher..

I am worried that the Micros will not be able to handle the lower frequencies to cross over well with the sub. Leaving me wanting more within weeks, aka good deal now becomes money in the trash tomorrow..

I keep wandering into the bookshelf realm with hopes of better sound quality but in reality it just wouldn't look good in my current set-up.
