I want to use a higher resolution than 1080p, and get uncompressed audio too.

It depends only on video card you are using and its driver version. Probably you will never know until you try, as vendors do not advertise options like this. You can ask on HTPC forum for configurations known to work that way, but be ready to replace your video card to make it happen.

The current video limit for single-link HDMI appears to be WQXGA, 2560×1600.

HDMI audio is multi-format including uncompressed PCM.

What you can do is based on whats on each end of the cable. Pick your displays and display adaptors and have a ball!
