Hey guys, i have a question about placement for the rears in a 7.2 setup. My room is 13 wide by 17 length. I am considering doing 7.2. Currently my 5.2 setup is all Paradigm Studio series with the rears being the ADP590s. The way the room is, i have the rears placed on a corner type shelf in each corner of the room with the woofer facing the listening position (so on an angle). (only way i can set it up due to the layout) The seating position is about 2 feet away from the rear wall (so at about 15 feet). I was thinking of putting in wall rears directly behind the listing position making it 7.2. This would mean that all the rears are kind of on the same wall.

Would this work like 7.2 should work? It is the only real way that i would be able to do it if i did.

Any help or suggestions is appreciated.

Thanks!

With all 4 surrounds on the back wall, you wouldn't get any rear vs side separation in the surround field, kinda defeating the point of a 7.1 set-up. In your situation, I would stick with a 5.1 layout.
