I'm fairly new to this whole rigmarole so you'll have to excuse me if this is in the wrong area.

But I was curious if it would be possible to have, for example...

To play the audio from my Sennheiser device through the HDMI device at the same time (if that makes sense). I've been attempting this for some time with programs like Virtual Audio Cable to no avail and a friend of mine suggested this forum so here is my shot in the dark!

From my experience with multiple audio playback devices, no. It seems like you want to use the computer as a virtual mixer. You can only select one playback device at a time in Windows AFAIK.

There are very cheap software mixers around. Unfortunately the only names that pop into my head are cakewalk and cubase. There are cheaper to free options. . .

Windows 7 doesn't support this by default. Whatever software your using, may support it. Failing that, there is a third application that will allow you to direct audio however you wish, but it isn't free: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_Audio_Cable
