Hi All,

I just purchased the Monoprice Hifi 5.1 system and am looking into how I should set it up in my apartment.

Here is my layout:

My main issue is knowing where to put the rear satellites.

Also, I was thinking of using speaker stands for all the satellites. Any suggestions for the Monoprice HIFI 5.1 system. They are basically the Energy Take Classic in terms of structure (and perhaps function).

Thanks.

Relative to your floorplan, it depends where you sit, and how far you want to run wire. For the couch, I'd put one above the window at couch level, the other, a similar height on the stub wall by the fridge, only to avoid firing parallel to a wall. I'd also use an AVR with room correction routine, to set distances and arrival times and insure a good surround experience. Remember, they're only ambiance in HT, so most of the program is coming through LCR, and that will dominate your sense of location... unless the sniper is off to the side.

HAve fun,
Frank
