Sorry if this is a dupe thread, but after reading the Entire FAQ on the Audessy site and a few dozen threads here, I must have missed it.

My conundrum:
After doing the initial speaker setup test with Audessy, my speakers are set to large (as is expected from a Denon AVR-2807).
Do I go in and change the speaker settings to small and THEN run the remaining Audessy tests, or do I run the tests and then change speakers back to "small"?

Instinct says I want the speakers set to small BEFORE the tests so they are being EQ'd based on sound they produce when crossed over properly DURING the test (especially since bass management is considered so strongly in the "Audessy world").

Or, am I totally off-base in thinking that the speaker setup has any effect on the Audessy testing?

Thanks in advance,

Rob

Run all the automatic stuff, get Audyssey completely set up, then if your AVR thinks your speakers should be set to 'large' correct it. Those values are ignored while Audyssey setup is running.

Counterintuitive (on Denon's part), but I'll run with it.

Thanks for the quick reply!
