is this center speaker from bose good enough i have the 161's and 701 series 2 all hooked up with it

Since nobody else had an opinion I'll share mine. My parents had this as their center speaker for years. It often distorted during films, even with a proper crossover setting. On top of that, it sounds pretty horrible. I recently hooked it back up just to hear and yeah, it's bad. Very colored and odd sounding.

Should be a good timbre match to the 161s, less so the 701s.

You say you have them all hooked up. What do you think? Can you hear a difference? If you can hear a difference, is it enough to bother you? If not, it is good enough.
