Ive just bought a Marantz sr6007 with 4 x B&W CM5's for mains/surrounds, B&W CM centre and SVS SB 12-NSD sub. I've run Audyssey and have done some research on how to use and set it all up but one things is confusing me. My AVR has set all the speakers to small which I believe is ideal for my bookshelf's, but when i check the crossovers in the 'Manual Set-up' menu of the sr6007, the crossovers are: Mains: 80Hz, Centre 40Hz? Given my centre speaker is not what i would call large this low crossover seems a bit mystifying? All I can think of is Audyssey doesnt want the voices coming out of the sub?? I guess my question is should I manually change the crossover for the centre channel to 80Hz, or leave it at 40Hz as Audyssey has it, and why would Audyssey set the crossover to 40Hz in the first place?

I would, just like it is with your mains.

Audyssey didn't. It measured your centre speaker rolling off around 40Hz, sent that info to your receiver, your receiver's bass management system set the crossover to 40Hz based on the measured response.
Great thanks for the reply. I think I worked out Audyssey set it so low becuase its very close to a wall, so think i will re-run Audyssey with the speaker moved a bit further from teh wall and see what happens.
