I have been listening to my music for awhile now, I'm starting to get used to them, they are my first ever floor standing speakers, I've always used headphones. Anyway, after doing a bit of learning about afew of the speakers techno jargon, I'm starting to wonder if , for music only, would you think setting music CDs, which I believe are all recorded in 2.0 to "Small" or "Large". To me I would think "Small" as if there is no 0.1, there is no LFE. Unless there is and I should send the Bass to the front speakers.
Any help which would be the proper choice? I usually like to make sure I'm hearing the audio that the creators want you to hear
Stereo sources are 2.0 - just L/R with no .1 channel. As a general rule, speakers should be set to small so that the sub can handle the deep bass. That reduces the load on the main speakers and the sub can be positioned where it works best for bass response, which can't be done with the L/R speakers because they need to be placed for stereo imaging. But, try it both ways in your room and see whether one approach works better than another.
