Contractor put in my speaker wiring in -wall for a 5.1 system.
Everything works except the left rear surround.

Switched the left rear to the right rear - confirmed works
Switched operating surround speaker to left rear - confirmed no sound.

Next test tonite will be direct wiring to the AVR Left rear Surround output to speakers.

Just managing my expectations here a bit: wiring or bad AVR output?

Disconnect wiring from speaker and receiver and twist the leads on one end of the wire together. Then use a meter to check continuity at the unconnected end.
