LOL. They've almost slithered down to the level of 6Loons.

I've obtained better results with the goodies I get from Peter Popoff.

That is such a rip off. It's just beyond ridiculous. $40 for some BS cream- when regular ice cream works just as well. You can get the same improvement by using something like Ben and Jerrys Ice Cream, which I frequently do. Just put a scoop of Vanilla on top of each speaker, and it sounds like a veil is immediately lifted of the top end while the bass becomes creamy and effortless. If you want to enhance mids, use chocolate. Want to heighten the dynamic range? Use Rocky Road. And nothing improves the sound stage like neapolitan.

LOL - Peter Popoff. If someone were to ask me his profession based only on his name, "faith healer" is not what would come to mind. biggrin.gif There's a great youtube video by James Randi exposing his fraud.

Picked up my mail today, and what was in it? A Stereophile subscription offer! biggrin.gif

The problem with using Ben and Jerry ice cream is the imaging shifts strongly to the left. Now, if you use AstroGlide, you'll find that not only doesn't it attract flies like ice cream but that everything becomes more penetrating and that it's easier to just get into it.

Quantum Resonant Technology Qx4: $2699.99
Roughly the size of a cigar box, this surprisingly heavy aluminum block has a pair of AC outlets and an on/off switch. Quantum RT describes the Qx4 as a "scalar field generator" that's supposed to emit an energy wave, the beat of which is calculated to react in specific ways with stray electromagnetic radiation. So they say. Though AD was dismayed by the technological explanation for the Qx4's effects, he could not deny the positive influence it had on his system. With a Qx4 placed atop each of his Audio Note AN-E speakers, Art's system sounded richer, more dramatic, and more involving. A Qx4 placed between preamp and power strip, however, had no consistently discernible effect.

I really, really like to know what kind of stimulants they use when testing.
Remember - those are RECOMMENDED components.

No. Virtually every product they review makes the RCL. It's the decision about what to review that determines the makeup of the list.
