Do any of you know any room modal analysis software? Especially where it is possible to model the room and place sound sources in the model and analyse the room modes and maybe even the frequency response in different locations. I think this would be a great tool if it existed - I just need some help finding it smile.gif

RPG sells a program call Room Sizer that claims to do what you want:

But I have to tell you, software can't really model rooms accurately because there are too many variables such as different wall and ceiling (and floor) construction. A better way to optimize a room is to follow the tried and true methods for loudspeaker placement and listener position, then treat the room with bass traps at the standard locations.
