AVS,

Not sure if this is the correct forum. I was thinking of going with an 11.1 AVR and use DSX due to all the rave reviews however, my current speakers "Martin Logan EFX" on walls are too large to put everywhere in my tiny nano condo not to mention awfull aesthetics.

Could I use small satalite speakers like Bose Cubes for wide, hight and the side surrounds figuring it's just ambiant sounds? I'm not a huge purist regarding tonal matching and what not but would like to get a better 3D surround envolope.

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks

as long as you are not into multi-channel audio and don't really care about matching the tweeters, then yes, you use of smaller effect speakers should work fine. I would suggest something like Cambridge Soundworks cubes http://store.cambridgesoundworks.com/Speakers/b/2744206011 or the Energy V-mini's http://www.energy-speakers.com/satellite-speakers/?sku=V-MINI-BS or the Energy Take speaker system http://www.energy-speakers.com/products/take-classic/?sku=TK-CLASSIC-5-PACK

just some thoughts to consider other than Bo$e
