Any Pioneer owners out there who use the x-curve feature?

Finally got a good response measurement of my system and the "x-curve" feature could be a niceĀ

way the get closer to the "movie" standard.Ā

-"The X curve has flat response from 63 Hz to 2 kHz.Ā Response below 63 Hz drops 3 dB/octave, as does response above 2 kHz. At 10 kHz, the slope increases to -6 dB/octave."

Did you read a little further down?
With all due respect to Mr. Holman, the problem I have with the X curve is that it fits the problematic ā€œone size fits allā€ scenario we discussed in our first installment. There is no industry standard for the physical size of a movie theater or a dubbing stage, yet they apply the same house curve to all of them.

Air is an insulator. Higher frequencies roll off quicker through air then lower frequencies.
