Hi All,

I fished my both my rear speaker wires through the drywall. It looks great.

When there is no vapor barrier, the fishing was fairly simple, just needed patience. However, when i encountered a vapor barrier, it was all but impossible to fish. So, I had decided to use the adjacent wall, which doesn't have a vapor barrier. It worked, just like the first rear speaker wire.

However, here is my concern, how do i fish speaker wire that may have a vapor barrier behind the drywall. I have two more speaker wires to fish, but i am guessing there is a vapor barrier, as the drywall is an exterior wall.

Anyone have any experience with fishing through a vapor barrier?

Don't fish behind the vapor barrier. Fish between the barrier and drywall.

how do you get in between without poking the barrier...

the barrier is basically kissing the drywall

Hole.(larger hole?)
Wrap the end.(streamline?)
Silicone spray on the tip (lubrication?)
Be patient and push slowly.

Sound familiar? tongue.gif
