Happy new year all,
I'm looking to install a new pair of JTR 228HT inside built in shelving, see photo. I will be removing the front doors and placing speaker cloth over the front area of the mid shelving area. I'm worried about side and rear reflections. What are my options to reduce the impact of these reflections inside the shelving.?
Thank you.

You can stuff the rear and sides with insulation.

But I would be more concerned with the large window and the reflections off of that-but not much you can do about that.

Move the speakers as far forward as you can and the reflections will be minimized.

Heavy curtains over the windows are going to help a lot. You have a big problem otherwise.

I assume that your speakers are either sealed or front-ported.

If they have rear ports, they should not be in that location.

Thanks. The speakers are front ported. So stuffing the remaining volume of the shelving and heavy curtains for the large windows. Makes sense. Thank you.

For the sound insulation inside the built in, any suggestions that would be readily available at home depot?
