Hi everyone,

first of all, sorry for any english-language related mistake, isnt my main language :)

I did just bought a YAMAHA RX-V775 (and i love it), correctly updated firmware and everything is working fine.

There is just one thing i do care about and i seems to not be able to acchieve and this is it:

I would like to let all my stuffs pass-by the yamaha and this is the list:

External Decoder (Lets say Sky but isnt but doesnt matter)

Personal Computer (Gaming and Work)

Personal Media Center

All those stuff will have as unique output a SONY KDL-52NX800.

Everything is working fine, i mean, i select and HDMI and everything switch just fine.. but... i do want something particular for the Personal Computer (Gaming and Work).

What i want to do is to just bypass Audio/Video from External Decoder directly to the TV (unless different specified somehow) and listen the sounds from the Computer.

All external stuff are attached via HDMI to YAMAHA so, i wanna be able to say HDMI1-IN Audio and Video go to HDMI1-OUT in "transparent" mode and YAMAHA send on speakers audio from HDMI2 (no Video).

I did test many things, also ARC (that seems to do what i want for a 50% cause if i switch HDMI from YAMAHA it switch TV too, and that's not ok at all) connecting Decoder directly to TV and all the rest on the YAMAHA.

Does anyone have any idea how i can acchieve this?

Did i explained it well or i was not enough clear and you would need more informations? If this is the case, feel free to ask, i'll do my best.

Thanks everyone for every kind of suggestion/hint about this "problem"

Best regards

Andrea

Just a little add:

This YAMAHA does have 2 HDMI-OUT port, so, i can also send both to SONY and switch Video-IN from SONY instead of YAMAHA.

Best regards

My advice is to connect everything to the receiver, and then use the TV only as a monitor.

The only connection to the TV should be one HDMI cable from the HDMI OUTPUT of the receiver.

Yes this is how i started using it, but it doesnt do exactly what i need.

I would like to use as standard my decoder with audio and video directly to the tv and the computer audio out from yamaha.

Ans choose when use tv-audio from yamaha.

But this setup i suppose is not possible since once i switch HDMI input it switch both audio and video... There is no a way to choose audio from another source while taking video from a source..

Any hint for this?

Regards
