Hello, Looking for some Help, Have a Modern Reciever Vintage Speakers EPI a140s

Using a kenwood sovereign vr 5090 reciever... I havent hooked anything up yet.. Because im not sure if it'll work together.. I'll be hooking this up to my PC via 3.5 Headjack for now. Motherboard has the optical hook up as does the receiver but I didnt want to spend 20 bucks at radio shack for a cord. My biggest question is with these specs at Rated Output Power during stereo operation 110 watts per channel minimum RMS, both channels driven, at 6 Ω from 20Hz to 20kHz with no more than 0.03% total harmonic distortion (FTC) And the EPI a140s according to online operating at 8ohms 35-75 watts.. Am i okay? I really dont understand the capability and the Ohms and other things here. This setup will be for Music, (Maybe Gaming) and Rocksmith (Fender Strat Guitar)

Your receiver has a volume control.

Don't max it out and you will be OK.

How old are the speakers?

Pull the grills off and check for foam rot around the woofer and mid. If the foam is crumbling, not good.

I'll be back later...

equitech -> sources > benchmark > krell > reQuest
