center channel placement help

i can either get place my center channel in my tv stand or above the tv. if i place it above the tv i will have to buy a mount. the tv stand slot is 25"x10" with a 2" hole in the back. i dont know if it will sound good in the stand because of the port and airflow. right now i have my receiver and power strip thing in the slot where i would put the center channel so i dont want to move if it and rewire everything if wont give good results

Is it a rear ported CC? Is the cabinet completely enclosed and will the CC pretty much fill the opening?

If so, I'd recommend on top of the TV.

Make sure whatever mount you get will get the face of your CC in front of the face of your TV by at least a half inch or so. Cuts down on reflections.

Oh, and make sure you angle the CC down to point at your head when you're in the MLP.

no matter what, put it above the display.
