Desktop Stereo Setup Question

Hello all. I would appreciate some help applying my humble understanding of power flow in a stereo setup...

I have a Yamaha RX-497 receiver powering two pairs of bookshelf speakers; Martin Logan Motion 4's, and Sonus Faber Concertos. The RX-427 gives each pair 75 watts each, which seems straightforward, but the receiver has a switch on the back that allows you to choose one of the following-

A or B, 4Ω min/speaker ; A+B 8Ω min/speaker

or the second switch position,

A or B, 8Ω min/speaker

Now with the Martin Logan's having an impedance of 4Ω, and the Sonus Faber's being 6Ω, which would be the optimal setting to drive the hungrier Sonus Fabers? Without overpowering the Martin Logans, of course.

I suppose another question is; with such a gap in price between the Fabers and the other equipment, would it be worth considering upgrading the amplifier and ditching the Martin Logans in the setup?

Thank you for the your consideration.

I apologize for any misunderstanding with my language, English is not my first.
