I voted for one.

I'd drop the forum from it.

In truth, I don't really think any of them are great, but #1 gets the job done.

#1, clearly.

2 and 3 look like an italic "N," not "AV."

The one UNIQUE characteristic of this forum is it's focus on the science behind the A/V. I would therefore welcome a logo wherein the word SCIENCE is used in full.

AV SCIENCE

AV Science

And then add the colour bars to represent the F for Forum.

My 2p.

I just hope that I can still use the 'retro' colors for the forum itself. I live by the blue/pink/yellow

Logo #1 wins for me! It follows the color scheme and makes it easy on the eyes to help identify with the website!

As it's a tech/science forum for all things AV, which is constantly changing, it's Got to be something really hip, tech, and fancy (NO insult to the designers of present 3 offerings) otherwise the existing logo works just fine!

What I really want to see is the return of what is now called the "Retro" color scheme as the standard. Every once in a while there are posts that use certain colors, and they are hard to read in the so-called retro colors (the only color scheme I can EVER use for AVS Forum-it is as integral to this experience as high-definition is to movie-watching).

Artistically, I very much appreciate logos 2 & 3. Very creative and attractive. BUT, a little difficult to decipher. Graphically, #1 is the winner. A bit less interesting and exciting, but easy to read and understand at differing sizes. Just MHO.

I voted for #1 because it relates to audio/video while the other two look more like a car emblem and would suit better in a car forum.

"Exciting Changes" has me concerned, just like Google's new privacy policy.

I vote for #2

It focuses on the AUDIO and VIDEO aspect of the forum, and takes out emphasis on the SCIENCE.

I worry that he is gonna do something stupid and put VB4 here.... (That will mean another loss of a VBB site for me!! (I dont visit VB4 sites, they are horrible compared to EARLIER versions)

Or worse, Huddler for example. Go on over to that that "other" hometheaterforumdotcom and see how utterly crappy that place has become. They have been hemorraging members ever since they made the move. As a matter of fact, I said something about it here and was P.M.ed by someone who said it was strongly being considered, if that happens, God help us all..

Hands down Logo #1 is the best!!
I went to college for advertising/design & the #1 thing they teach is for a logo to be read & understood within a split second. Logos 2 & 3 are way too hard to understand. They look cool but are horrible for a company logo. They actually kind of bother my eyes..

I really dig the old school equalizer look with #1 too!!!

How about logo 4, which would be a straight "AVS Forum" with the multi-color F from logo 1?
