Today I bring the AVS Community some sad news. A long time friend of the site sense 1999, REW, Ron White, passed away on Dec 22.

Ron will be remembered for his great interest in politics, sports, movies, all things electronic and his devotion to his and Penny's Tibetan Terriers.

I personally will remember Ron as being at almost every AVS Party I can remember even bringing and wearing the ORIGINAL AVS FORUM Certified T-Shirt. Him and his son would come to the show and we would talk and talk home theater. What a passion he had for the love of movies and entertainment. I am a better person having to have known him right down to the last party at CEDIA in september.

Raising a glass to Ron as he now watches us all on the BIG SCREEN. To you REW...Ron. To you.

Thank you, David Bott for your kind words. I know my Dad enjoyed the CEDIA party and the AVS group every year!

That is sad. I can remember meeting Ron several times on trips over to CEDIA USA. I'd be standing in a queue, waiting on a demo and he'd appear and come over for a chat. Such a nice man. I will remember him fondly.
