Thanks for the welcoming e-mail Scott. I've houd AVS through Googling home audio information on recivers/amplifiers. And looking forward to learn from AVS as I explore this new interest of home theater audio.

Greetings All!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I’m an old school audio listener that still playing vinyl’s 80% of the time. I’m getting interested in digital music and started to get acquainted with that. I hope I can eventually contribute to the community but now I’m just full of questions. I’m glad I found this great place.

Hello everyone. I am from Burlington, VT and am here to learn how to get better antenna reception in my area as I am all done with cable and hopefully get some better hockey coverage coming out of Montreal, Canada. Any advice please let me know. I just bought a $50 indoor antenna for starters and it picks up a few major stations but I feel I can do better.

Cheers~

Hey Joe,

What sorts of questions did you have? I have a little knowledge, not much, but anything music related piques my interest.

Hello everyone,

Figured I've used this forum enough that I should make an account and start trying to contribute and maybe use the resources a little more as well. I'm located in Tucson, AZ and mainly will be looking for help with HT setup and tips for maximizing my viewing and listening experience. Just reading around on this site has been extremely helpful thus far and can only become more-so interacting with this great community.

Hello!  I'm new here and fairly new to this stuff.  I just purchased a Pioneer VSX-43 to replace an old Pioneer I had for a very long time.  I got everything working except the turntable... so that's my one challenge.  :(

Anyway... just thought I would say hi!

HI Lilith, I'm Aganetha and fairly new to this as well so I thought I'd say Hi. I used to have an old Pioneer myself and I loved it. I don't remember what year it was but I got it from an auction. It had beautiful original cabinetry with the eight track system turn table and radio- all in good working order. It had some damage on one of the panels so I had some one fix it to its original state. It was gorgeous.  Sadly, while in transport, this guy was in a serious accident. I lost the pioneer system, which really meant nothing compared to his injuries. After 12 years I saw him again and he insisted giving me all the money back. He had felt so badly about ruining that Pioneer.  Can you believe the heart of this man?  Sorry I can't help you with your challenge. Your old Pioneer reminded me of this man so I thought I'd share.
