Greetings. I am opening a fast oil change business in Israel, and am looking for innovative lighting solutions, including substituting projection for buying static signs. I am not sure if this is feasable, and welcome anyone's input on the subject of in-store promotion.

Best regards,
Daniel

Hi all!

I'm new to this forums.

I just started venture into big screen (70" and above) multitouch & collaboration solutions, more for classrooms & office/meeting rooms so signage products are not really my cup of tea.

Hope to have lotsa fun in this forums smile.gif

Hello everyone,

I stumbled across this site yesterday while looking for a drive for my Panasonic DMR-EZ28 Dvd recorder. I want to thank DigaDo, and everyone who provided the information on cleaning the hub and spindle. My recorder stopped recording and would not release the disc after three days of turning on, turning off, trying to eject by reset button and eject button. I figured I had nothing to lose by cleaning the hub and spindle before ordering a drive. It was easy, so easy I couldn't believe it. I didn't even touch the laser figuring I could go back in if it didn't work. I took out the disc, cleaned the hub, and just lightly sprayed some can air around to blow out the dust. Everything else looked ok. I put the cover back on, plugged it in and tried the eject button. The tray wouldn't open so I pressed the reset button, it still wouldn't open so I pressed the stop and channel up buttons together for five seconds and it opened the next time I pressed the reset button. I have now recorded three -R's, recorded on a Ram disc and it works like new. Btw I use tdk, and memorex -R's and always have. My Ram discs are Panasonic. Thank you all again for buying me some time with this recorder as money is tight. I also have a Panasonic DMR-EZ48V but have a warranty through 11/14.

I remember when products were built to last.

Hello There All,

If anyone would shed some light on this issue that would be great.

I currently have the XBR55HX950 LED Backlit tv,( refurbished ), Which was replaced by Sony ( had KDL55HX750 which had awful ghosting/clouding )

Sony needs to replace the XBR55HX950 as it has small chip on screen.
They are having a hard time finding another XBR55HX950 so they are willing to give me a KDL-55W900A.

My question to you is : Does this TV have issues with the Ghosting/ clouding from the Edge lights like the KDL-55W900A ?

As i said before it looks very noticeable in dark scenes and worse with Bluray ..

If the KDL-55W900A does have this issue i will keep the XBR55HX950 as it does not have the issue

Thanks

Sorry i realised i posted this in the wrong section too.. Off to a great start hey !!!

Hello all,

I'm from Norway, delighted to find this forum while searching for something spiffy (see my post in camcorder section...), as I'm actually adding a section to my house which I plan on fitting with a nice home theater system. Building new means I can do all sorts of cool stuff with it, but the interior part will probably not be done till next summer, so I'll be coming to you with a bit of questions and suggestions to get some feedback on through the winter smile.gif

Looking forward to drawing from your knowledge!

Hello everyone, my name is Dave, near Emerald Isle,NC
I've been lurking this site for several years now and decided to become a part of the community. I started a business installing televisions and surround sound systems in 2010 and slowly it's been growing. I'm definately not at the level of "Home Theater Master" as some of you who bless this forum with your presence and wisdom. I do, however, like reading, and research and keeping up to speed with technology, which consequently makes me the guy that people go to for help with their systems.
Currently I own:
Samsung 55" 3D Television
Yamaha RX-V575 (which i don't care for unfortunately)
Episode 700 series in-ceiling speakers
Episode DUAL 8 in-wall sub
Pro-control 24-r remote
Outdoor Episode 6.5" speakers by the pool
Website if any would like to visit: www.FlatScreenMountingNC.com

This site has loads of information and materials that has helped me to build my own surround sound system, as well as plan systems for customers. I'd be glad to have a part in helping others on this site as I do in my area.
And a Thanks ahead of time for people who help me out when i'm in a bind!!biggrin.gif

Greetings everyone!

I am Greg Williams. As I new homeowner, I had the luxury of having a home theater professionally installed (not a wire in sight). It's a 5.1 system using Klipsch ceiling mount studio reference speakers, Klipsch SW-310 Sub woofer with associated Bluetooth connection kit. The system is driven by the Yamaha RX-V673, I initially purchased the 671, but as soon as I found the 673, I upgraded... wanted the additional features. Needless to say, I now have a 671 sitting as a spare just in case... oh well, I digress.

After upgrading, I noticed that there was no signal going to the sub while streaming Pandora...VIOLA! visited this forum and quickly found the answer. Had to join this extremely knowledgeable group of folks.

Longtime lurker figured it was time I registered. I’m a FNG when it comes to surround sound; I was recently using a Logitech Z-5500 from my college days and decided to finally buy a real surround system since I finally bought my own house. Seeing the high-end systems posted around the forum had me a bit apprehensive about posting what I finally bought: however it does work for me now and maybe when I get my next home, I’ll have a dedicated theater room.

Sony BRAVIA KDL55HX850
Yamaha RX-V773 (originally bought a V673 (still have it), but went with V773 for the extra HDMI output for the patio tv (soon) )
Infinity Primus PC351 Three-way dual 5-1/4-Inch Speaker
(2) Infinity Primus P163BK Two-way 6 1/2-Inch Bookshelf
(4) Yamaha NS-IW280CWH 6.5" 3-Way In-Ceiling Speaker
BIC America F12

For the patio:
OSD Audio PS520 Terra Cotta Planter Omni Speakers

I did purchase the Disney calibration bluray, but I still want to have it professionally calibrated, just unsure if it’s worth it?

I have so much gear I don't have the time or the room to learn it all! Well, my home theatre in the living room consists of a Panasonic Viera 50" 3-D Plasma Vt-25 I believe. I own the Onkyo TNR-5007 receiver which I'm having trouble with ATM. No sound tried everything! Ill post more later but just wanted to say to you all! And thank you!

Hi Everyone,

I've just jump in the boat. I've already found many precious information. I am the happy owner of a Yamaha RX-V673 and a Sony BRAVIA KDL42HX850.
I just had trouble with the connection between the Aplle tv nad the yamaha. That's what brought me here.

See you.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I was really into home theater about 15 years ago. Been enjoying that system for years and now that my Lexicon DC1 is getting outdated it is time to upgrade the receiver and look into revamping the entire setup. I have a Pioneer Elite 62" RPT with a complete set of Snell speakers, Velodyne sub and Parasound amps. Considering upgrading to a projector and possibly moving the sub to a new location.
Thanks and I look forward to meeting all of you "experts" out there.

Hi all. my name is David and I just joined. Happy to be here and eager to ask questions and look for suggestions.

I'm currently running a 5.1 surround system with following equipment.

Denon AVR 3313CI
Cambridge Sound Works mc 100 x4
Cambridge Sound Works mc 150 center channel
Cambridge Sound Works Bass Cube 8s
Samsung 46" LCD TV

Thinking of upgrading my surround sound speakers and sub as myreceiver was $1200 and the surround system was about the same price back when I bought it in 2006.

Hi folks - my first post went right into the Panasonic discussion thread for my DMR-EH75V DVR - curious to see if it's repairable, or if I should just pony up and get a new Magnavox.

Been browsing the forums this afternoon after a frustrating 3 weeks with my DVR in the shop with absolutely NOTHING to show for it except an insane quote...

Hoping to find lots of great information on this site, especially once I move into the modern age (hopefully) this Winter, when I'm hoping to retire my Sony VEGA CRT TV smile.gif
