Hi everyone, I am happy to have finally joined. I have been reading posts for a while, but never posted before. I am pretty much still new to the field - probably have a lot to learn, so go easy on me!

Hello. I am currently in the process of setting up a retro gaming room with a 50" TV and a Sony 5.1 receiver. I have routed all my 7 consoles through a scaler/switcher to HDMI on the TV and am happy to join AVS forums to learn more in-depth knowledge about upscaling, de-interlacing, and all things retro gaming. Looking forward to learning!

Currently I own NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, Wii, PS2, and Xbox 360. My brother in law has a Dreamcast that he says I can have, but I don't own it yet. I'm always looking for good deals at pawn shops and garage sales.

That is a pretty good collection, although it's a bit too "light" on Sega for my taste Still, Contra, Battle City and Bomberman are definitely among my favorites. I prefer playing those classics on a CRT though - it preserves that authentic experience.

Howdy and I need to pick your brains!!!

Hello all, just got here and have been having a look around.

I have a tricky question, I have been approached to install some AV gear in a local function center. They are looking for WiFi projectors but they want the ability to link to just one or all 3 at the same time. The room they are in is able to be split in to 3 separate rooms. Is it possible with wifi or just use the output from one of the projectors to drive the other two?

Also not sure if this was the right thread to post this but what the heck.

Cheers

I've lurked around AVSForum for a long time but have not previously posted. I am an avid home theater enthusiast with a background in pro audio as an audio engineer / mixer for live events--local bands, festivals, churches, club venues, etc.

My first taste of high end audio began with an audition of a full Meridian digital surround sound system in 1996. I was a college student and the system cost $30k (as an aside, the dealer asked if I knew anyone interested in a good deal on a pre-owned Vidikron projector, VGA resolution mind you, for "only" $5,800 ). But the sound of the Meridian was absolutely amazing and still ranks as one of the best audio demonstrations I've ever heard.
