Please check out:
B&W Speakers, Monitor Audio, D&M Holdings (Denon/Marantz), McIntosh, Yamaha, Oppo, Samsung, Epson (projectors). Post images

These are the primary manufacturers I'd be looking for if I were there.

Hi Value what if is 110 inch 4ktv with glasses free 3d is that okay?

Naw just looking for a UDTV around 80" for under 10K to replace my Kuro. Not a big thing to ask …I can pick up the 84" Sony right now here in Japan for 16K but waiting to see what comes out at the CES.

If anyone reads this that is at CES 2014, can you check on Onkyo and see if they are showing any new AVR's or talking about them at least?

Onkyo is located here:
ONKYO U.S.A. Corporation
View Booth on Floor Plan:
Venetian Tower, Hospitality - Venetian Palazzo Hospitality Suites
Venetian, Lvl 2 - Bassano 2701, Bassano 2702, Bassano 2703, Bassano 2704, Bassano 2710

Doesn't seem like Denon or others are there. Would be nice if Onkyo talks about any new Integra Pre/Pro's.

THANKS!

I just read in another thread that Vizio will not longer support 3D in its TVs.
http://www.avsforum.com/t/1496126/is-3d-about-dead/185#post_24173729

So what is the word on 3D in general?

And many of us out here would appreciate reportage that might give us a sense of being there, and what you're seeing and hearing.
Thanks.

I'll take any audio news I've heard enough about UHD and 4K. I bought the new Marantz pre/pro and I'd welcome other companies getting in the mix. With the addition of the new Yamaha pre and hopefully others it means we should benefit.

I haven't seen any projector news out of CES yet, which sucks. That 120" Vizio is getting all the attention.

Here are some LCD panel postings coming out of CES that are occasionally observational.

They will stick with larger sizes for the time being. We will see 55'' OLED and up.

Panasonic and Sony will probably go strait to 4K OLED. We will hear from it 2015/2016.

Really where?

Really bummed about this lack of 4K projectors. It's still just Sony, right? I didn't see anything else besides their one or two new ones.

Most definitely. I don't get why but things are moving so slow with projectors lately.

Same here. However, considering the lens is the most cost prohibitive part, I don't think we'll see any sub $8k 4k projector anytime soon. frown.gif

My mistake, I was referring to CEDIA in September as it's in Denver, which is close to where we are moving to

With the panasonic S60's out of stock I am hoping Samsung will decrease their input lag on their plasma tv's for next year.

Well now....

At CES 2015 I would like to see some consumer level Dolby Atmos, Auro3D and/or a new physical format of sorts for 4K video delivery.

Chances of this? Nil. frown.gif

More likely....

Why nil? BDA is finalizing the 4K physical-disc format, Atmos for home IS in the works and Auro is already in the Datasat RS20i pre-pro.

The 4k BD format has "been in the works" and should have made an appearance two years ago at CES and it still hasn't happened.

Atmos? Call me unconvinced. All I am hearing is promises of something that doesn't really exist. Not that I am not excited about the idea.

Auro? Pfft... Tap my shoulder when a mere mortal can afford the device.

Also... there is no appreciable content yet. Nothing official.

So yeah... it's all wishful thinking. If there is something you know that is great but that doesn't make me feel any less cynical about the lack of official information on all this.

Don't get me wrong. I must have these things. I am sick of waiting. I've been ready for a long time.

BDA have only announced that they're working on the 4K physical format around Oct/Nov 2013

Atmos have never been promised to public at all, not even this second. It's only from the grapevines through HDMI organization that I heard that story this past CES (Jan 2014)

As for people using RS20i, I have a handful of clients who are using that pre-pro, and yes, they are "mere mortals" wink.gif

But I agree, I want it NOW!!! biggrin.gif
