I'm voting for the unemployed VFX artists that will be protesting the event. Oh wait....

In that case I'll go with Gravity. None of the other movies integrated the VFX, Cinemetography, and Story together into one integral piece as well as Gravity did. I'll add that none of the other movies were as dependent on the success of the VFX as Gravity either.

Pacific Rim should have been in this. Like Gravity, a large part of the success of Pacific Rim was the VFX. The movie is a master class in how to deliver massive objects on the screen with scale and weight.

Between the two it's a coin flip, they both simply nailed it.

No, seriously, Gravity's gonna take this cake! cool.gif

Either way, I'm VERY happy for the work my fellow Mexican compadres Guillermo Del Toro and Alfonso Cuarón have given us... smile.gif

As a matter of fact, it was none other than Guillermo Del Toro who had been handpicked by Peter Jackson himself to originally direct the The Hobbit series! wink.gif

I I could turn back time, I'd find a way to make that happen...

My point exactly being that, given the love Peter Jackson's take is getting, can you imagine how much more awesome it would have been in the hands of Mr. Del Toro, especially considering the fact that, not being able to wait for a very delayed green light on The Hobbit, he went on to make precisely Pacific Rim instead??? eek.gifcool.gif

The way it should have been in my mind. Or maybe two movies.
