OH, I have one of those, I didn't like the results when i used it.

Then a new baby arrived 3 weeks early and haven't had time since to mess around, luckily my theater works at all!

Voted: (1) against a wall (at the left), and (2) out in the room (behind the TV). Also, (3) in a closet (at the right).

I place my subs along the walls. The .1 sits along the left wall a few feet ahead of the front of the front wall & a mid-bass module for the front channel sit along the front wall approx 1' from center stage.
Also a rear mid-bass module sits along the back wall just right of the listening position.

The choice was made after hours/days of moving the subs to various places/positions in search of subjectively smooth response. I utilized various sine wave sweeps to all but eliminate major issues with room modes. One of which was a strange localizing of 60/65hz on the right side of the room where there are no subs, not to mention a massive peak at 45/50hz.

I'm very happy with the response I've been able to achieve although I'm considering the addition of another sub/bass module. biggrin.gif

Sincerely, the frugal audiophile

Took out a bedroom to deepen the media portion of the den and make a third bath creating a 3' x 3' x 8' windowed alcove.
Sub sits in alcove on tile floor, under and behind the suspended Bose 301 Lft front. Three different circuit breakers control that shared wall.
